The High-Performance Computing (HPC) Platform in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, is purposed to provide computing power support for scientific research of the University. The platform centrally manages the existing CPU and GPU servers scattered in the University with the high-performance computing cluster management portal, the deep learning management portal, the high-speed bulk-storage memory system, the high-speed IB computing network, and other devices. In this way, we can build a university-level High-performance Computing Cluster and set an integrated framework of a leading supercomputing platform for the future.
The HPC Platform includes CE cluster, AI cluster and OD cluster till now, provides scientific computing of various research institutions with a first-rate fundamental computing environment, and targets to build an efficient and energy-saving high-performance computing research and service portal with full features and enriched computing resources for the University. It can be used in deep learning, new materials, geophysics, biomedical health, and computer-aided engineering simulation, involving multiple disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science, etc.
