The High-Performance Computing (HPC) Platform in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, is purposed to provide computing power support for scientific research of the University. The platform centrally convenes the existing CPU and GPU servers scattered in the University with the high-performance computing cluster management portal, the deep learning management portal, the high-speed bulk-storage memory system, the high-speed IB computing network, and other devices. In this way, we can build the centrally managed High-performance Computing Clusters and set an integrated framework of a leading supercomputing platform for the future development.
The HPC Platform includes AI cluster, CE cluster and OD cluster till now, provides various research institutions with robust computing environment, and targets to build an efficient and energy-saving high performance computing service portal for the University. It can be used in deep learning, new materials, geophysics, biomedical health, and computer-aided engineering simulation, involving multiple disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, physics, chemistry, bioinformatics, computer science, etc.
