Office Computer

According to the University’s management regulations, full-time employees may apply for either a laptop or a desktop computer based on their actual needs. Before a new employee starts, the department asset administrator must confirm that there is no available office computer inventory within the department. If no inventory is available, the administrator may apply to ITSO for the allocation of a computer for the new employee. Otherwise, priority should be given to utilizing idle computers within the department. When an employee leaves the organization, they are required to return the received computer to the department asset administrator.

*Note: Due to differences in procurement batches, the configurations and models of office computers may vary. However, this does not affect normal office use. If any hardware or software issues are found with the assigned office computer, please contact ITSO promptly for repair assistance.

Cloud Printing

Cloud Printing (accessed within campus only) enables users who own CUHK(SZ) accounts to print, copy and scan on campus. Users can send print jobs to the printing server and retrieve them from any printer within the system, located in the Teaching Building, Library, Student Centre, and Colleges. The service supports A3 and A4 printing in both black-and-white and color.
