Your CUHK(SZ) account provides access to the CUHK-Shenzhen network, IT resources, and services.

Activating CUHK(SZ) account

The initial password can only be used to activate your account. 

Users are required to change their password. Please click here if you need to change your password. Please refer to the following security rules for password change. 

*Please note that the new password you set must follow the following password security rules, otherwise it will not be able to be successfully modified.

Password Security Rules

The password must be at least 12 characters long and include all 4 types of character sets:

• Upper case letters (A, B, C, ...)
• Lower case letters (a, b, c, ...)
• Numbers (1, 2, 3, ...)
• Special characters (!, @, #, ...)

The new password cannot contain your student number, the same password as the last two times you used, or the pinyin and abbreviation of your name. For example, Zhang San's password "Atx@18963asdK" is a valid password because it is more than 12 digits long and contains four kinds of characters: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, special characters and numbers; but "zs1234567890" is invalid password , because it only contains two kinds of characters: lowercase letters and numbers, and it contains the pinyin abbreviation of the individual's name.

Password Validity

You are required to change the password every 365 days. You will receive an email reminder 15 days before it is due to expire. If your password expires, you will not be able to access the services and facilities associated with your CUHK(SZ) account until you change your password.

Forgotten or Expired Password

You can secure your login by binding your personal email. Please click here .secure mobile phone number, and app authentication through the Password Self-Service Platform. If your password is forgotten or expired, you can reset it yourself using any of the bound methods. If no method has been bound, please contact ITSO for a password reset.

Campus Card

Campus Card is an essential form of identification during your time studying, living and working at the University. Every student and full-time staff member will receive a campus card with information such as your name, student number, photo, etc. Prepared by the Campus Card Service Center, it is granted to students when registration and to staff when onboarding.

Campus Card can be used in:

• Campus access control

• Identity verification

• Self-service printing

• Borrowing services in the library

• Campus infrastructures

• Payment on campus

• Other campus IT services

Lost and Replacement: If you lost your campus card, you can go to the Campus Card Service Center with your valid ID to report the loss and get a replacement.
