What should I do if I can't add my Exchange mailbox to Outlook for Mac?
Solution:
The faculty and staff mailboxes are of the Exchange type. When using a third-party mailbox application to log in to the mailbox, you need to first confirm whether the mailbox application supports the Exchange mailbox type. The old version of Outlook for Mac supports the Exchange type, but the new version of Outlook for Mac does not. Please follow the steps below to switch to the old version of Outlook for Mac.
Open Outlook, click on the “Help” menu and select “Revert to Legacy Outlook”, then restart Outlook.
The account added in the new Outlook for Mac will not be automatically added to the old version Outlook, and vice versa.
After switching to the old version of Outlook for Mac, log in to the university email according to the following information
Email type: Exchange
Email account: CUHK(SZ) account@cuhk.edu.cn
Server: mail.cuhk.edu.cn
Domain: cuhksz
Username: CUHK(SZ) account
Password: CUHK(SZ) account password

What should I do if I cannot reinstall MATLAB after uninstalling it?
Solution:
Residuals from previous MATLAB installations may cause problems with newly installed MATLAB. Please follow the steps below for a fresh installation of MATLAB:
1. Uninstall MATLAB
Please click here to refer to the detailed operation steps under specific operating systems:
Delete any desktop shortcuts for MATLAB.
2. Manually delete the installation folder (Windows only)
After doing this, open File Explorer and navigate to the MATLAB root folder. By default, this folder is located in Windows: C:\Program Files\MATLAB
*Note: If you cannot find MATLAB in these locations, please consult your system administrator to find the MATLAB installation directory.
3. Delete user preset folders
Windows:
In the File Explorer window, type the following in the address bar and press Enter: %appdata%
This will take you to the “Roaming” folder named for the current logged-in user account. Open “MathWorks”, then open “MATLAB”.
macOS:
Open Finder, the blue face on the Dock

For R2016a and earlier versions: ~/.matlab
Linux/UNIX:
Open Terminal application (usually found in Applications or Utilities)
In the Terminal window, run the following command: cd ~/.matlab
Delete the folder corresponding to the MATLAB version to be uninstalled, for example “R2020b”. The current version may also have a license directory, for example “R2020b_licenses”, delete this folder as well.
*Note: If you are performing this operation as an administrator for other users, you will need to perform it from the user’s directory instead of the administrator’s directory.
4.Delete MathWorks installation program
Finally, delete the previously downloaded MathWorks installation program from the “Downloads” folder. The location of this folder may vary depending on your internet browser settings, but the default locations are as follows:
